Visual Broadcast System Suite™ - Modular Tools for Digital Signage

The Just Add Power VBS Suite™ delivers a growing family of compatible A/V switching devices that allow systems integrators to build Digital Signage applications that are right-sized for the customer, with the flexibility to expand in the future as needed.  Based on our popular computer lab training system technology and building on over 15 years of innovation, this twisted pair architecture gives you the flexbility to connect any number of devices together to deliver the media message in the formats demanded by today’s sophisticated marketplace.  From the boardroom to the classroom, in a convention center, shopping mall, or a house of worship, the VBS Suite™ provides a uniquely flexible tool for the most demanding systems integrators. These Type B series devices use CAT5 to distribute VGA signals and Stereo Audio signals simultaneously.

Transmitter Options

These 4:3 and 16:9 compatible aspect ratio transmitter devices range from the simple to the sophisticated.  You can combine any Type B transmitter with one or more VBS Suite™ Type B Receivers.

Projector Connector™ Type B Transmitter

This “always on” transmitter simultaneously sends a VGA Signal (up to 1600x1200) and a Stereo Audio Signal (3.5mm) using 1 piece of STP or UTP CAT5e or CAT6e cable.

Video Genie™ DS0 2x10 Matrix Switcher

With 2 VGA (HDD15) inputs, plus a Microphone port, this matrix transmitter can simultaneously send either input to the 8 VBS Bus ports (Group A and Group B with up to 80 targets) and 2 local VGA ports..  Inputs can be computers or HDMI/HDTV* sources (supports HDCP handshaking). 

*HDMI/HDTV supported in 1280x720p mode with the optional HDMI2VGA adapter and requires native signal compatible target devices.

Video Genie™ DS1 3x10 Matrix Switcher with Composite Video Scaler and IR Control

Built on the Video Genie™ DS0 platform, the DS1 adds a 3rd source to your matrix options - a 4 input composite video scaler, able to up-convert SD video signals to as high as 1280x1024 resolutions.  The audio and video matrix functions are independent, allowing you to watch one source and listen to another.  Plus you get a powerful Infrared Controller that can learn up to 48 IR commands for the 4 attached A/V devices.

Control Options

The Video Genie™ DS Series transmitters have several control options, allowing you to put together the best system design for each Digital Signage application.

Windows® GUI for VBS Suite™ Included

A Windows® GUI interface able to control all Video Genie™  DS transmitters is included at no extra cost.    This interface can be customized in the field to match the customer application. 
The Windows® GUI is compatible with our Guiding Light™ Keyboard for contemporary worship applications.

Total Control Console™ with Sensor Panel

The smooth sensor panel in the Total Control Console provides easy stand alone operation of the system without requiring a dedicatd PC to control the system.  Available with custom full color graphics for special projects and OEM partners (10+ systems required for custom graphics).

RS232 Interface for OEM Controllers

The DS Series transmitters all have an RS232 port and a simple to master command set for use with compatible 3rd party devices.

Receiver Options

These 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratio receivers  can be connected indivdually or in “daisy-chains” to your choice of VBS Suite™ Transmitters.

Projector Connector™ Passive Receivers

These “always on” receivers (Single or Dual output) are available in several precisely tuned models for twisted pair VBS BUS cables lengths up to 60 Meters (200 ft.).  With high quality twisted pair cables even longer distances can be achieved.

Projector Connector™ Extended Receiver

This “always on” receiver is for long distance applications from 60M to 300M (200 ft. - 1,000 ft.).  There are fine tuning knobs for rough focus, fine focus, and gain, allowing you to get the optimum picture quaility with the longest of cable runs.

Projector Connector™ Pass Through Receiver

The Pass Through Receiver has 1 set of Video/Audio outputs and can be connected in a daisy-chain to any of the above Projector Connector™ Receivers,  allowing 3 and possibly more display monitors to  be connected to a VBS Bus Out port.  When combined with an Extended Receiver, the total combined cable distance supported is up to 350 Meters (~1,200 feet).
